Daniela Benaim is a stylist and art director from Caracas, Venezuela, based in London. Her work celebrates womanhood and Latinidad through a lens of magical realism, folklore, and community. Rooted in a handcrafted approach, her practice blends storytelling, resourcefulness, and fashion imagery to explore identity, migration, and collective memory.

Beginning her career in Caracas during a time of scarcity, stylist and art director Daniela Benaim learned to make her own props and pieces, transforming limited materials into imaginative worlds. This tactile, handcrafted approach continues to shape her practice today, infusing fashion imagery with craft, resourcefulness, and a deep sense of storytelling.

Influenced by cinema, mythology, literature, and art, her work explores themes of migration and collective memory, often reinterpreting rituals, costumes, and traditions in collaboration with artisans and diasporic voices. She draws inspiration from artists such as Marisol Escobar, Violeta Parra, Remedios Varo, and Leonora Carrington, who have subverted the relationship between women and the domestic.

In 2018, Daniela was awarded the LVMH Grand Prix Scholarship to pursue an MA in Fashion Image at Central Saint Martins. After graduating, she joined Burberry’s art direction department and worked there for four years.

Through projects such as Comadres (Vogue Italia) and Pueblito Paisa (British Vogue), Daniela celebrates her roots and seeks to give visibility to the Latin community in the UK. Editorials like Venezuela Te Amo (Vogue México) and Alma Llanera (Atmos) reflect her strong connection to her homeland. With her most recent works, Curiepe and Pájaras, she pays tribute to the visual and spiritual memory of Afro-Venezuelan communities.
