The concept of home is fluid and
unstable.
Titled La Casa, the house in
Spanish, this body of work centres around the relationship between place, body
and self. Daniela collaborated with photographers and creatives in both Caracas
and London, her two homes, to explore the domestic sphere. Using masks and
dolls, the images examine multiple notions of the house.
An extension of the psyche, an oppressive place, a
cherished memory, or an imagined space, the home can be found in our own body,
in the native land, or far from our country of birth.
